EDISING


The wall design of Savara tribe is known as "ittalamoran " or "Edising" this painting is core aspect in culter of Savaras . The painting is drawn during the "Gandha amavasa "(mamidi Kotha)festival .The religious priest or magico-economic person known as the "vejji" observed fast and draws elaborated desing depicting hunting scene, Savara dance, tiger, peacock, banana plants, craya plam tree, sex act, sun, moon, lingora deity, cat, various crops, plough bullocks scropion, tartoice, wild pig, elephant ,sankes ...., which play an important role in the socio-economy life of Savara tribe of the inside portion of main house to appease there ancestral sprites.


The three earthen pots are tied on the upper side of the desing and the Two pots are placed on the floor on the either side of the desing . And all the household rituals take place near the digsine . The harvest new food grains vegetables and fruits are the first offered to this scared design and only they consume.

Any person who is in difficulties or when he secures second wife ,makes pledug to celebrate it by drowning desing on the walls of there houses.
