DescriptionSB2C VB-82 taking off CV-15 NAN9-46.jpg | A Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver of bombing squadron VB-82 Battering Rams from Carrier Air Group 82 (CVG-82) taking off from the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Randolph (CV-15) in 1946. VB-82 was established on 1 April 1944 and redesignated VA-17A on 15 November 1946, and to VA-174 on 11 August 1948. In 1949 it converted to the Martin AM-1 Mauler, but was disestablished already on 25 January 1950. |
