DescriptionSELNEC Central Atlantean.jpg |
On to the pics taken with my conventional camera now. And presumably, the Docks is where Salford Quays is now. This was the first GM Standard Atlantean to be built with Park Royal bodywork (many were built by Northern Counties) in 1972 and was always based in Weaste. Withdrawn from normal passenger service during Deregulation in October 1986, many GM Standards could be found either still in Greater Manchester or all over the UK with other operators, however this went straight into preservation and was featured in the hit BBC ONE series Life on Mars as a background vehicle. |
