c/n S.2 Built 1972 as the second production British Jaguar. She spent her entire career as a test and development airframe with the Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment (A&AEE) at Boscombe Down. She was mainly used for stress monitoring and weapons carriage trials, but in 1979 she was used for motorway take-off and landing trials which took place on the M55 near Preston. Retired from flying in 1986, she was flown to RAF Coltishall to become a Weapon Load Trainer and was allocated the maintenance serial 8918M. In 1990 she was the test airframe for the ‘Desert’ Pink’ colour scheme for the Jaguars involved in Operation Desert Storm, the First Gulf War. She was loaned to the museum in 2004 and purchased by them in 2006. She is painted in 54sqn markings, one of the three Jaguar squadrons based at Coltishall for many years.
