Description

Fire fighting supplies are loaded aboard a U.S. Navy Sikorsky SH-3A Sea King (BuNo 149698) from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 2 (HS-2) "Golden Falcons" aboard the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CVA-34) for transport to the burning USS Forrestal (CVA-59) off Vietnam, on 29 July 1967. Note that the white markings on the Sea King have been darkened for search-and-rescue operations over Vietnam.

HS-2 wa assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 57 (CVSG-57) aboard the USS Hornet (CVS-12) for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 27 March to 28 October 1967.
