Description
Deutsch: Savoia-Marchetti SM.73 der Savoia-Staffel mit Bordfunker Uffz. Edmund Lück in Italien, oder auf einem Flugplatz der Luftwaffe in Deutschland, ca. Mai 1943. Die NACA Hauben, sowie das Seitenruder der SM.73 waren gelb markiert. Das Kurier- u. Verbindungsflugzeug aus italienischer Produktion führte nachweislich das Rumpfkennzeichen "RD + CU", sowie das taktische Kennzeichen für dt. Transportflieger im Mittelmeerraum, hier "Z5U" auf dem Seitenruder. Das "Z5" steht für "Savoia-Staffel", eine Transportfliegereinheit, die im Febr./März 1942 im Stab der III./KG.z.b.V. 1 unter Olt. Helmut Schwarz eingerichtet wurde, und die ausschließlich italienische Transportmaschinen des Typs SM.82 "Marsupiale" (incl. drei SM.73) nutzte, zwecks Versorung des dt. Afrika-Korps.
