English: Video captured by the STS-132 crew shows the shuttle's empty external tank floating back to Earth's atmosphere where it will burn up after helping send shuttle Atlantis and its six astronauts into space. It took the orbiter and its crew of Commander Ken Ham, Pilot Tony Antonelli and Mission Specialists Garrett Reisman, Steve Bowen, Mike Good and Piers Sellers about eight-and-a-half minutes to reach the required speed of 17,500 m.p.h. to reach Earth's orbit. |
