Description
English: STS090-E-5107 (23 April 1998) --- Payload specialist Jay C. Buckey Jr. gathers data from astronaut Dafydd R. (Dave) Williams, a mission specialist representing the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). Developed by the German Space Agency (DARA), the Lower Body Negative Pressure (LBNP) device, in which Williams has the lower portion of his body, is used to provide data regarding the autonomic nervous system. The picture was taken with an electronic still camera (ESC) at 16:26:20 GMT, April 23, 1998.
