English: Saboulandpark Aira, Aira town Kagoshima prefecture Japan. The cliff shown on the photo had falled massively by heavy rain in August 1993. After that, erosion control works had been applied to the cliff and ruins of the failure became a park. "Sabou"(砂防) is a Japanese word for erosion control.
日本語: 鹿児島県姶良郡姶良町、サボーランドパーク姶良。写真に映っている崖は平成5年8月豪雨で大規模に崩壊した。その後砂防工事が行われ、跡地は公園となった。サボーは砂防のことである。 |
