Description
English: Seaman Michael Gionet, an aviation warfare systems operator, search and rescue swimmer, performs last minute inspections before embarking on a mission aboard an MH-60S Seahawk assigned to the "Bay Raiders" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 of the Nicaragua, Sept. 6. HSC-28 is assigned to the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), which has been diverted by U.S. Southern Command from the international maritime exercise in Panama to the coast of Nicaragua to assist with disaster relief efforts in areas affected by Hurricane Felix.
