English: 130817-N-RX668-385 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Aug. 17, 2013) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Jonathan Latona, native of Riverside, Calif., and Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Jonathan Howland, native of Gastonia, N.C., both search and rescue (SAR) swimmers assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 6, perform a direct deployment rescue during a SAR practice jump. HSC-6 is currently deployed with Nimitz Strike Group to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
