English: As seen on a sunny afternoon in April 2021, this pleasantly shaded green space on the west side of Franklin Street shares its name with the adjacent Catholic cathedral. St. Joseph's Park was dedicated in 1973 on what was once the site of St. Stephen's Hall, an events venue most historically notable as the site where Grover Cleveland was nominated for Erie County Sheriff in 1871, the first political office he held on a career trajectory that led to the U.S presidency just thirteen years later. The park features a concrete plaza with three park benches set behind a concrete cross that once stood atop the demolished St. Joseph's New Cathedral on Delaware Avenue.
