English: Salvation, or the lack of it. Looking north-northeast across the site of the old Salvation Army "Icehouse Citadel" at 61 Anlaby Road, Hull. Ahead on the left is the back of the derelict New York Hotel on Anlaby Road and on the right with the tall chimney is the old Albert Hall music hall on Midland Street, the front of which can be seen here: 1223264 The citadel on Anlaby Road was first registered in 1883 and closed in 1989 when the Salvation Army moved to Walker Street. After that the building suffered a serious fire and has since been demolished. |
