| Description |
English: Samson or Goliath? Another view of shipyard gantry crane 'Samson' at the Harland and Wolff shipyard, framed by the edges of two buildings at the Northern Ireland Science Park. No longer shipbuilding, H&W have diversified into other fields such as shipbreaking, recycling and renewable energy. Recently the yard has been taking delivery of offshore windfarm components and here, I believe, three upright sections of wind turbines have been constructed beneath the crane. See also 6679217 for some related images. |
