DescriptionSand beach at 172nd Street in Fort Washington Park at low tide.jpg |
English: The beach at 172nd Street in Fort Washington Park at low tide.
Many do not believe that a beach in New York City on the Hudson River can be sand. I was told many years ago that the sand was put there for a triathlon. I believed that at the time, but do not believe it any more because 100 yards south of here there is also sand. This sand is natural to the area. |
