Description
English: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice. The main altar designed by Baldassare Longhena itself dominates everything. The sculptural group on the altar represents a Madonna with child, to represent the Salute that defends Venice from the plague. It is the work of a very active Flemish sculptor in Venice, Josse le Court born in Ypres in 1627 and died in Venice in 1679.
Français : Basilique Santa Maria della Salute de Venise. Le maître autel conçu par Baldassare Longhena domine tout. Le groupe sculptural sur l'autel représente une Madone à l'Enfant, pour représenter le Salut qui défend Venise de la peste. C'est le travail d'un sculpteur flamand très actif à Venise, Josse le Court né à Ypres en 1627 et est mort à Venise en 1679.
Italiano: Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute in Venezia. Altare maggiore disegnato dal Longhena stesso dominano su tutto. Il gruppo scultoreo sull'altare rappresenta una Madonna con bimbo, a rappresentare la Salute che difende Venezia dalla peste. È opera di uno scultore fiammingo molto attivo a Venezia, il cui nome viene solitamente reso in Giusto Le Court o Jouste de Corte nato a Ypres nel 1627 e morto a Venezia nel 1679.
