While the case was being fought in court, Sharon married her attorney, David S. Terry, who was shot and killed in a battle with the bodyguard of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Field. Sharon's lawsuit was unsuccessful and she spent 45 years in an insane asylum. | |||||
