Coffin of James II of Mallorca
Description
King Charles III of Spain ordered this coffin for king James II, the only king of Mallorca buried on the island. It was placed in the interior of the Cathedral, where it remained until 1946, when a new mausoleum was built in the chapel of the Trinity, at the same cathedral, by Frederic Marès.

Este monumento le mandó erigir á sus expensas el religiosso animo del rey Nuestro Señor Don Carlos III (que Dios guarde) para que tuviessen digno deposito las reales cenizas que en el descansan. Año de 1779.
recto:
Aqui reposa el cadaver del serenissimo Señor Don Jayme de Aragon, II rey de Mallorca, que merece la mas pia y laudable memoria en los anales. Falleció en 28 de mayo de 1311.
