Summary edit
DescriptionSavage Mansion, 1870 & 2007.jpg |
The Savage Mine owners mansion on C Street in Virginia City, Nevada. Bottom photo circa 1870. Note the unusual tops to the chimneys in the old photo- undoubtedly a strategy to thwart the "Washoe Zephyr"- the high winds that can whip across the ridges. It is great that all the owners of this building have kept it in good repair and original! |
