English: HST 125 (High Speed Train) leaving to the east, Savernake, Wiltshire The HST has done sterling service for the last almost 40 years. Its replacement is on the horizon however in the shape of the Hitachi 800/801. It won't be in service for a few years yet though so the familiar sight and sound of the HST will continue to be a feature on this line for some time. The area immediately to the left of the train was once the end of the line from Swindon and Marlborough. |
