Description
Deutsch: Zwischen dem Rangierbahnhof Maschen und der Mündung der Seeve in die Elbe besitzt die Niederung des 'Junkernfeldes', trotz des Sperrwerkbaus und damit geänderter Tidebeeinflussung, große ökologische Bedeutung, vor allem durch die Pflanzengesellschaften feuchter Wiesen- und Weidelandschaften auf Moor-, Marsch- und Sandböden.

Die herausragenden Vorkommen der Schachblumenbestände sind nicht nur von nationaler Bedeutung. Sie sind wahrscheinlich das größte Vorkommen in Mitteleuropa. Jedes Jahr können Sie zwischen April und Mai von einem Steg aus Deutschlands bedeutendsten Schachblumenbestand

erleben. Informationstafeln geben Auskunft über die Besonderheiten der Natur in der Seeveniederung.
