| Description |
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Journalists are informed of the expansion plans of Schiphol Airport in the restaurant of Schiphol. They listen to the mayor of Amsterdam, A.J. d'Ailly, and the chairman of Schiphol, J. Dellaert. The latter presents a map with the expansion plans and gives a clarification with a pointer. SHOTS: - meeting in the restaurant; - several shots of the postwar reconstruction, renovation and expansion of Schiphol Airport: old buildings are demolished, new are being built or almost finished, a.o. the control tower; mechanics work on airplanes in new and spacious hangars; travellers walk across the new arrival and departures halls or sit in the restaurant; airplane crew is informed of the weather at the meteorological desk; airplanes of a.o. different foreign airline companies are at the platform or taxi across it; - aerial shots of Schiphol Airport.

In het restaurant van Schiphol worden journalisten op de hoogte gesteld van de uitbreidingsplannen van de luchthaven Schiphol. Ze luisteren naar de burgemeester van Amsterdam, A.J. d'Ailly, en de president-directeur van Schiphol, J. Dellaert. De laatste presenteert een kaart met de uitbreidingsplannen en geeft er uitleg bij met een aanwijsstok. SHOTS: - bijeenkomst in het restaurant; - div. shots van de wederopbouw, vernieuwing en uitbreiding van Schiphol: oude gebouwen worden gesloopt, nieuwe zijn in aanbouw of al (bijna) gereed, oa de verkeerstoren; in nieuwe ruime hangars sleutelen monteurs aan vliegtuigen; reizigers lopen door de nieuwe aankomst- en vertrekhallen of zitten in het restaurant; vliegtuigbemanning wordt bij de meteobalie geïnformeerd over het weer; vliegtuigen van oa div. buitenlandse maatschappijen staan op of taxiën over het platform; - luchtopnamen van Schiphol. |
