Italiano: Prof. Giuseppe Schirò (1927-2007), storico, archivista, presbitero e letterato monrealese di origine italo-albanese. Direttore della Biblioteca Comunale di Monreale e Direttore dell'Archivio Storico Diocesano di Monreale. Ha riordinato e inventariato gli archivi storici di enti pubblici e privati siciliani, in particolare quelli delle diocesi di Monreale, Palermo, Cefalù, Agrigento, Piana degli Albanesi, ecc. E' stato autore di opere a carattere storico sull'epoca normanna in Sicilia, sul Duomo di Monreale e sulla città normanna, e di numerosi articoli archivistici e biblioteconomici.
