"Cockies" is the nickname for our Galah Cockatoos - Eolophus roseicapilla. They have often been kept as pets and are known for their antics. If someone is playing the fool they are often told to stop being a silly galah. A small farmer is also known as a Cocky A Dairy farmer is known as a Cow Cocky Yesterday Our neighbour had put some seed down on the ground for them to eat. It attracted quite a mob.
