Les cases vides Ee et Ef du pavé Yy permettent d'étendre les suppressions aux cases Eb et Ej et l'on constate alors que, dans le pavé Yz, seule la case Fj (en jaune) reste libre et peut donc se voir attribuer la valeur 1 !
