Summary edit
DescriptionSeattle - 4215 University Way.jpg |
4215 University Way NE, University District, Seattle, Washington. Once the Dresden Hotel, this 1904 building, built by carpenter/developer Noyes Moulton, is one of very few surviving wood-frame multifamily commercial buildings in the U. District. It is the earliest commercial building included in the inventory and is intact except for storefront changes. A plumbing company, Lavine & Thomas, originally occupied it. Originally a plumbing fixture store, for many years (including through the 1990s) the storefront housed a used bookstore called Beauty and the Books. For more about this building, see Summary for 4215 University WAY / Parcel ID 114200-1065 / Inv # UD001, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. |
