Summary edit
DescriptionSeattle - 7321 35th NE 02.jpg |
7321 35th Avenue NE, in what might variously be counted as View Ridge or Wedgwood, Seattle, Washington. This house, built some time between 1904 and 1910, has long been the oldest house in the area. It is now surrounded by a commercial district: see Image:Seattle - 7300 block of 35th NE.jpg for context. At the time this picture was taken, there were plans to demolish the house, but a year and a half later the house is still there and the signs about the plans have gone away. According to Valarie Bunn, "History Bits: A Tale of Two Houses", Wedgwood Echo, Volume 23, Issue III, May 2008, p. 2, the William Voss family moved into the house in 1910. Voss was a carpenter. At the time the house had 10 acres of land. |
