This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 82004235.

Description
English: Seattle, Washington, 1909. Original caption: "Looking South on First Avenue, Seattle, from Spring Street, 1909, showing the Globe Building on the right." The Globe Hotel was the main (southernmost) building of the three that are now combined as the Alexis Hotel. The large light-colored building visible behind the Globe Building, and the darker building just past it would have been torn down to build what is now the Federal Office Building. Beyond those, flags flying, is presumably the Colman Building, still extant as of 2010.
