| Description |
"The Seattle National Bank," from brochure Seattle and the Orient (1900). Besides several signs with the bank's name, a sign can be seen above at the corner saying "Dentist" and on lower level saying "Geo. Dorffel Real Estate". In 1929 the Seattle National Bank merged with the Dexter Horton National Bank and the First National Bank Group to form the bank that eventually became known as Seafirst, which was later absorbed by the Bank of America. This building (at the northwest corner of Second and Columbia in Seattle) is gone: this is the site of the 1959 Norton Building. |
