Summary edit

Description
English: A dedication plaque to Frank L. Lautenberg, Senator to New Jersey in the United States Federal Government.

The plaque reads:

NJ TRANSIT Corporation dedicates Secaucus Junction to the HONORABLE FRANK R. LAUTENBERG During an exemplary and extraordinarily productive career in public service that now spans over two decades, Senator Lautenberg has been an energetic advocate for New Jersey and for an efficient passenger rail service so crucial to strengthening the State's economy; improving the quality of life of its citizens; decreasing traffic congestion; and reducing pollution. The need for Secaucus Junction was evident for many years; it took Senator Lautenberg who had the skill, resources, and perseverance to turn a drawing board idea in to reality. This magnificent commuter station stands here as a result of Senator Lautenberg's vision and leadership. It is, therefore both a fitting and tangible tribute to him. The legacy of this outstanding New Jerseyan, the Honorable Frank R. Lautenberg, will remain present in this building and in our memory. We proudly dedicate Secaucus Junction in his honor. THE FRANK R. LAUTENBERG RAIL STATION
