Description
English: U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Steve Chu recently visited the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP)-North, a DOE Energy Innovation Hub aimed at developing the technology to commercially generate fuels directly from sunlight. JCAP is operated as a partnership between the California Institute of Technology and Berkeley Lab. While there, Secretary Chu saw demonstrations of a fast prototyping 3-D printer and a photochemistry water-splitting experiment. Photo courtesy of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
