Description
English: Located along the outlet of the Crown Marsh, along Seelyebrook in southwestern Isanti County, Minnesota are savanna areas; prairie soils formed when glacial Lake Anoka sunk down to the Lake Hugo level. These two prairie and savanna soils show up on the northwest shore of glacial lake Hugo. The Anoka lakeplain is to the east; the Burns Till plain and Elk River Moraine are to the west.
