Summary edit

Description
English: This is an exposure of the Lower Cambrian Sellick Hill Formation in coastal South Australia. The section consists of a basal sandstone, actually a heterolithic facies with bioturbation. Above that is a gentle carbonate ramp succession with ribbon-nodular limestones. Some slumps, discordances, and flat-pebble conglomerates are present.

Fossils here include burrows and hyoliths. Elsewhere, the unit has archaeocyathans.

Stratigraphy: Sellick Hill Formation, Normanville Group, Atdabanian Stage, middle Lower Cambrian

Locality: wave-cut exposure near a point/promontory on the western side of Myponga Bay, Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia (vicinity of 35° 22.265’ South latitude, 138° 22.906’ East longitude)
