English: A target lays concealed along the bank of a river bed. Targets like this were set up along the bank to create a live-fire course. The live-fire course was part of Africa Partnership Station 2011, a U.S. Africa Command maritime security engagement program that is designed to strengthen participating nations’ maritime security capacity through multilateral collaboration and cross-border cooperation. Marine Corps Forces, Africa is supporting APS 11 with a security assistance force based out of Camp Lejeune, N.C.
