Deutsch: Ein US-Soldat baut auf dem britischen Luftwaffenstützpunkt Fairford ein für das Gefechtsfeld gedachtes PSC-5-Satellitenradio zusammen. Das AN/PSC-5 (Codename: SPITFIRE) - laut Herstellerangaben ein "Enhanced Manpack UHF Terminal (EMUT)" - wird von der US-Luftwaffe als "leichgewichtiges, sicheres, netzwerkfähiges, störsenderfestes, für Sprach-, Daten- und Bildkommunikation geeignetes Multiband-Gerät mit vielfachen Einsatzmöglichkeiten" beschrieben (vgl. English: ROYAL AIR FORCE FAIRFORD, England -- Senior Airman Charles Cruz assembles a PSC-5 tactical satellite radio here recently. The PSC-5 supports the Department of Defense requirement for having a lightweight, secure, network-capable, multiband, multimission, anti-jam, voice, imagery and data communications capability in a single package.
