Description

The mural on the northern gable façade of the municipal residential building at Stadtplatz 3

depicts the battle of Saint George with the dragon. Saint George is depicted as a knight in armour on a white horse. He wears a helmet with a blue-white-red plume, a breastplate and a light-coloured skirt. He thrusts his spear into the dragon's throat. The dragon symbolises evil, the devil. Behind the dragon, a princess is seen kneeling in thanksgiving for her salvation. The church of St. Pancras in Glurns rises in the background.
