Add a one-line explanation of what this file represents
This flag is fictitious, proposed, or locally used unofficially. It has not been adopted in an official capacity, and although it may be named as if it was an official flag of a geographical or other entity and have some visual elements that are similar to official logos or flags of that entity, it does not have any official recognition. A flag of this type should not be added to any articles or pages unless it is officially proposed by a government agency, covered by the media, or sees notable local use.

Summary edit

Description
English: Flag proposal for the Shabak people, a Kurdish-speaking ethno-religious group of northern Iraq. Their traditional settlement area north of Mosul is called Shabakistan/Şabakistan but is actually not a political entity. This flag contains the lion, which was together with the sun Ismail's I emblem. Ismail I is regarded as a prophet by the Shabaks. The green colour makes together with yellow and red the pan-Kurdish colours and shall also represent flag colour of Ismail's dynasty, the Safavids.
