Description

The great religious scholar and sufi of his time, the spiritual leader of the famous sufi poet Baba Bullhe Shah. The picture is of the entrance to the Darbar of Shah Inayat on Queen's Road, Lahore.

شاھ عنایت سائیں میرے ماپے چھوڑ لگی لڑ تیرے لگیاں دی لج جان وے ویہڑے آ وڑ میرے بھاویں جان نہ جان میں تیرے قربان وے ویہڑے آ وڑ میرے

I have truthfully put myself in the keeping of Shah Inayat; (And) I have departed from my parentage …. and have secured myself with thy loop; (O Lord!) please endorse the strength of this bond (with Shah Inayat); (And) be my Guest, in my household; Oblivious of the fact that You acknowledge my being or not; I submit myself to Thy Lordship; (O Lord!) be my Guest, in my household
