تقوم قوات الأسد و الميليشيات الشيعية العاملة معها باستخدامها والتي تقوم بدورها بالبث المباشر لصور الأرض ليصحبها قصف بالهاون و الراجمات و الصواريخ الثقيلة. وكانت كتائب الجيش الحر قد اسقطت منذ بضعة أيام طائرة أصغر تحمل كامرا تستخدم في الألعاب الرياضية والمغامرات ، كانت تحلق على ارتفاع منخفض. __
