English: Shawl, linen, large triangular shawl with both bobbin and needlepoint motifs applied to hand-made bobbin net; deep border of scrolls and flower heads; central design of flower sprays covering nearly all the ground; net ground is `vrai drochel"; mixed lace shawl, raised work on the leaves and flowers, some "point de gaze"; Brussels Duchesse This large Brussels Duchesse mixed lace shawl has been expertly worked in both needlelace and bobbin lace, with a large variety of varied filling stitches.
