The text says: "For in five hundred Eighty eight [1588] when Elizab[eth] Queen did Reaigne, the wicked Spanyers did atemt and brought a fleet from Speain. This time did our GOD apeare In maricell and wonder, he sonk theire might fleet adoune and drove the Rest asunder. From the beginin god is ye same in everye generashon, and shewed forth his tender love unto ye Queen and nashon. For our God is terabell unto his Ennimies, how shuld hee then be gloryefied through out all time and dayes. Español: Página de la Biblia de Abraham Sheares de Exeter (1710 - 1731) que presenta la Armada Invencible de 1588 como una victoria providencial de los protestantes contra los católicos. Traducción del texto: "En 1588, cuando reinaba la reina Isabel, los malvados españoles intentaron traer una flota desde España. Esta vez nuestro DIOS se apareció en majestad y hundió su poderosa flota y embarrancó el resto. Desde el principio Dios es el mismo en cada generación y ha mostrado su tierno amor por la Reina y la nación [inglesa].
