|1=This scan is from a copy of the (1885) second edition of Italian Pictures, drawn with pen and pencil by Samuel Manning. (Commons cat). The book has been scanned and made available by the British Library as part of the Mechanical Curator collection donated to Flickr Commons.

The engraving also appeared in the original 1870 edition of the book, on page 20 (Internet Archive). A copy with the title "On the Campagna", dated to 1866, is offered by an advertisement on eBay.}}
