Summary edit

Description
English: Described by Simon Jenkins as "finer than any piece of art from the Italian Renaissance", Sherborne Abbey really is one of the most beautiful churches in the country. Heavy and forbidding outside, but gloriously light inside. The fan vaulting is exquisite. The Abbey's tower contains the world's heaviest peal of eight bells hung for Change Ringing, the tenor (biggest bell) weighing 46cwt (2339kg)
