A tinted postcard of the High Sheriff's state coach in front of the castle at Lancaster. The card was published by Steward & Woolf of London, and tinted and printed in Saxony. Note the halberdmen lined up in the background; they would have processed with the coach. The two men standing in front of them in livery are probably trumpeters. Note: The first upload is the unedited scan. The second upload has been cropped, and edited for clarity. |
