Description
English: Ship list of William the Conqueror (Bodleian Library MS E Museo 93 folio 8v). Original document was probably written at Fécamp after 13 December 1067 or circa 1072; this copy from Battle Abbey is dated paleographically to 1130–1160. The document gives a list of 14 lay and ecclesiastical magnates of Normandy as well as the numbers of ships and knights they owed to the future William the Conqueror, then duke of Normandy. It also describes the ship Mora provided by duchess Matilda.

Ecclesiastics are: Odo, Bishop of Bayeux (William's half-brother); Nicolas, abbot of Saint-Ouen (William's cousin; son of Richard III, Duke of Normandy); Remigius, monk of Fécamp, future Bishop of Lincoln.

Laymen are: Robert, Count of Mortain (William's half-brother); Robert, Count of Eu; Robert de Beaumont; Roger de Montgomerie; Hugh de Montfort; William FitzOsbern.
