Insomnia sets in a lot lately...more than ever before. So when I can't sleep, I feel like stomping out my irritations with the lens and CS. This is something that kind of happened in the editing process as it went along...that's actually how a lot of my self portraits come about - unplanned for the most part while still keeping the original inspiration to some degree. In this case, the inspiration was my mother's blue headscarf. I LOVE India as well. I'm a huge fan of Bollywood - the songs, dresses, jewelry, the extreme dramatics (lol) everything. Anyone who really knows me understands that bit of information about me. So that explains the bindi and mendhi markings. A nice little play on the "sanbiki no saru". Thanks Kris for the comparison! ;) |
