| Description |
English: Shops and bus stop in Carshalton High Street Taken in 1973 this shows two features which have both disappeared long ago: firstly the Post Office, now closed with the building finding other commercial uses; and second the elaborate 'bus and coach stop' design, which has disappeared not only here but everywhere else in London. The seat is now presumably occupied by a new generation of 'gaffers'. |
