Description
Портрет представляет собой вольную копию оригинала Л. Токе (1756–1758, ГЭ) и свидетельствует об обращении начинающего Рокотова к блестящим образцам иностранных мастеров, работавших в России в русле рокайльной культуры. Это сказалось в заимствовании изящного поворота фигуры изображенного и декоративной выразительности колорита, главную роль в котором играет насыщенный красный цвет кафтана.
