1 inch chunk from classic fall of iron meteorites at Sikhote-Alin, eastern Siberia on Feb 12, 1947.

When rock from space meets atmosphere at about 50,000 mph or so, it may get fingerprinted or thumb-marked whilst burning away to dead slow.
