Summary edit

Description The detachable pod can be used for cargo or can carry 45 equipped troops. The landing gear is hydraulically adjustable to facilitate handling bulky loads. This particular machine was built in 1069 and was last based with the 169th Aviation Regiment of the Connecticut Army National Guard here at Bradley Airport. A similar CH-54 set a world record by lifting a pod containing 90 passengers in Vietnam on 29 April 1965.
